Companion Fungicide Technical Details
- Technical Name: Mancozeb 63% + Carbendazim 12% WP
- Mode of Entry: Contact and Systemic
- Mode of Action: Companion acts by inhibiting the development of fungal germ tube, formation of appressoria and growth of mycelia. Further, it is fungitoxic when exposed to air, converted into an isothiocyanate, which inactivates the sulphahydral groups of enzymes in fungi, thus causing disturbance in fungal enzyme functioning.
