Mode of Action
Tembotrione is a post emergence herbicide that works by biniding to and inhibiting the enzyme 4-hydroxyphenyl-pyruvate-dioxygenase (4-HPPD) in target plants. This inhibits the production of caortenoids, which are essential for plants to produce energy. The inhibition of 4-HPPD also disctrubs chloroplast synthesis and functions.
